What is Forestry Mowing?

Forestry mowing is a land clearing method that uses a single machine to cut, grind, and clear vegetation. RYEX Services' mulching machine is capable of clearing land of unwanted trees and brush up to 8 inches in diameter with limited disturbance to the soil or desirable vegetation. Our mulching equipment has the ability to operate on steep slopes, in small or tight areas, in poor ground conditions, and in wet or snowy weather. The hydraulic mulching head reduces saplings, shrubs, and trees into mulched material that will decompose and build the quality of your soil.

Benefits of Forestry Mowing

By processing trees and other vegetation where they stand, forestry mulching machines eliminate many of the steps involved in traditional land clearing such cutting, felling, hauling, piling or burning undesired vegetation. By eliminating these steps, there is no need for multiple heavy machines like bulldozers, excavators, tree shears, wood chippers, and hauling equipment which can cause unnecessary damage to desired vegetation and topsoil.

Our Forestry Mulching Equipment

RYEX Services, LLC uses a Caterpillar 299D XHP compact track loader with the HM415B mulching head. This equipment is designed for high-performance cutting and mulching of vegetation and undergrowth from forested terrain. The hydraulic mulching head reduces saplings, shrubs, and trees into mulched material.
